"Bring out yur dead, But I aint Dead" Part II

okay okay, I have decided to update my blog and try and keep it regular. There is a reason for this and to many it may be apparent. As of the 15th of june this year I will no longer be a resident of the Republic of Ireland. That's right, this summer I will be residing in the land of Jessica Fletcher, Dawson's Creek and Stephan King, not my little snuchems Steven but the nasty horror writer one. Yes I am finally, definitely going to Maine for the summer. The only thing that could possibly go wrong is that I am refused my Visa at the interview in the embassy but that should not happen.

I only decided to do this about a week ago when I was sitting in work talking to Louise about the summer when I realised that the future looked very bleak. She was going to Hawaii, Tall Eoin was going to Australia, Steven was probably moving out of Limerick, maybe abroad, Pa was staying in Kilkee, Conal was staying in France for a while and Liam was moving out to UL with his football boiz. What was Paul to do? Wracking my brain for some idea I remembered that in 1st year I had been offered a job by a friend of conals mother. I knew she was back in Ireland for a few days so I got conals mam to ask her. To cut a long story short I am now all finalised. It involved lots of looking for old documentation and another loan but I paid it all there on Friday and now am just waiting for my embassy interview.

I am not actually that excited about it at the moment to be honest. It was such a hurried, hasty thing that it has not sunk in yet. I mean I am going on my own to a strange country to work in a coffee shop and stay I don't know where for four months, it not exactly what you expect from Paul. I think it will be good though. I am doing this entirely off my own bat, I am not relying on anyone else and if anything goes wrong I will have noone to blame but myself, or if it goes really well it will be because of me. I went to college locally and went on co-of and Erasmus with people form my course so we kindof stuck together the whole time. This way I will be forced to go out and do stuff for myself. I was talking to Suzanne, the owner of the cafe's I am going working in, and she says that Rockwell is a small enough town of around 10,000 people and it is on the coast. There will be a few young people around and working with me but I don't expect it to be a crazy hectic place by any means. The way I see it I can have the possibility of being bored there, with Boston and Portland nearby, or the certainty of being bored here....In limerick.

So I will just have to make the most of the six weeks I have left before I go, even though that may be difficult with working all the hours God gave me, painting the house for cash and....oh ya studying and exams. Still myself and Liam made a good start at it the other night with the first swim of the year. Just like old times, 4 o clock in the morning, bracing swim, nude as babes, though to be fair Liam was wearing clothes...all of them in fact.....and not swimming....just looking...at me....nude.......hmmmm I think we need to have a talk.
